Interesting. After Garrett Smith's Top 30 VoIP Blogs list, Luca Filigheddu decided to come up with his own list based on Technorati listings, which rank a site according to the number of links from other sites. While VoIP Now is #13 on Luca's list, it was only #26 on Garrett's list. Garrett's reasoning for his list is based on importance of a site to the industry, amongst other factors. He rightly points out the older sites gain an advantage, and that some of the top sites discuss other topics than VoIP, which bring in additional links from other websites.
Though despite having more links from other VoIP (or otherwise) sites, there are other factors which determine ranking in Technorati, so instead of being #11, we're #13. Either way it's nice to rank in the top 20 and top 30 on two lists, and we we'll keep striving to move up to the top of each list. Food for thought: While Garrett's weblog, Smith On VoIP, supposedly has no links to it according to Technorati, his top 30 list no doubt garnered him at least a half-dozen new links, if not more.
